This position provides the full range of services needed to operate the Parking Services Office. Responsibilities include providing first-level parking information to customers through professional verbal and written communications. Receive, maintain and process parking citations, payments, student holds and permit sales using a computerized parking management system.

Must have the ability to follow cash handling procedures, submit work orders and perform other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to multi-task and remain focused.

Minimum Qualifications

  • No previous experience or training required

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to use an alphanumeric keyboard
  • Ability to sort and file information
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to follow oral instructions
  • Ability to read and understand written materials
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

Preferred Qualifications

  • Customer service experience
  • Parking attendant experience
  • Experience with payment processing software
  • Experience working in a Higher Education/ University setting

Special Instructions

Salary and benefits are dictated by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) collective bargaining agreement.

This position is not eligible for medical/hospital, prescription, supplemental, or other benefits at this time.
