The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a faculty position in the broad areas of Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or Biophysics. The position is anticipated at the ASSISTANT PROFESSOR level with an anticipated start date of 15 August 2026, pending budgetary approval. We seek an outstanding scientist who will enhance and complement existing strengths in our broad-based, interactive biology department.

Candidates working in the following areas are especially encouraged to apply:
- Any area of Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or Biophysics
- Specific topics of interest include enzymatic mechanisms, molecular machines, regulatory and signaling systems; however, other areas and interdisciplinary approaches are also welcome.

Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. and postdoctoral research experience in a relevant field and will be expected to establish an extramurally funded research program, train graduate students, and actively participate in undergraduate science education.
