Helper

(Monday &- Friday, some Saturdays 7am &- 3pm)

Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for a Helper to be based out of Philadelphia, PA. Reporting to Manufacturing Supervisor, the Helper will be responsible for a variety of laborer duties while supporting the machine operators.

What you’ll do:

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain a clean, safe and efficient workplace by following all 5S, Standard Operating and Safety Procedures, including wearing required PPE.
• Assist operators in loading and processing of materials as assigned.
• Actively participate in Atkore’s safety program
• Cross train in different areas of the shop as required
• Ensure all processes are carried out with the required use of safety controls and PPE
• Perform necessary pre-operation activities and miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
• Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials
• Housekeeping and sanitation
• Performing tasks as assigned by his or her manager.

What you’ll bring:

• Ability to read a tape measure
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
• Ability to squat, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand and work up to a 12-hour shift in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed

• Any other requirements/qualifications as needed

Within 3 months, you’ll:

• Complete any required training
• Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $20.41.
