Job Description

Join our client’s team as a Facility Maintenance Tech Lead in Gloucester County, New Jersey, supporting a food manufacturing facility. They are seeking a hands-on maintenance leader who wants to build a long-term career while helping drive reliability, efficiency, and operational success within a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for leading maintenance operations, minimizing downtime, and ensuring equipment reliability while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards. Prior maintenance leadership experience within food manufacturing is strongly preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs across production assets
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PLC systems
  • Supervise maintenance technicians and outside contractors
  • Drive root cause analysis for downtime and equipment failures
  • Maintain compliance with food-grade maintenance standards and safety requirements
  • Support capital projects, equipment installations, and facility upgrades
  • Ensure maintenance activities align with food safety and sanitation requirements
  • Maintain CMMS systems, maintenance logs, and equipment documentation
  • Partner with Production, Quality, and Sanitation teams to improve equipment performance and operational efficiency
  • Promote a safe, accountable, and team-oriented maintenance culture

Qualifications

  • 5&-10 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably within food manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, automation systems, and high-speed packaging equipment
  • Experience working with refrigeration systems, particularly within frozen food operations
  • Leadership experience supervising maintenance teams
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and root cause analysis
  • Knowledge of CMMS systems and maintenance tracking programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) preferred
  • Electrical or PLC certifications such as Allen-Bradley or Siemens preferred
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • Ammonia Refrigeration Certification (RETA/IIAR) preferred
  • Lean Manufacturing or TPM certification preferred
