Plant Supervisor &- Food Manufacturing

Full-time/On-site

About the Role

We are seeking a Plant Supervisor to oversee daily production operations within a high-volume frozen bakery manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and consistent production across multiple high-speed manufacturing lines producing laminated dough and frozen baked goods.

The Plant Supervisor will play a key role in driving production performance, maintaining strict food safety and quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.


Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily production activities across multiple lines, including mixing, laminating, proofing, freezing, and packaging

  • Drive key production KPIs including yield, throughput, waste reduction, and labor efficiency

  • Ensure compliance with SQF/BRC food safety standards, GMPs, HACCP protocols, and all regulatory requirements

  • Lead, coach, and develop shift supervisors, operators, and production team members

  • Monitor product quality, dough consistency, and finished goods specifications

  • Partner with maintenance and sanitation teams to minimize downtime and support equipment reliability

  • Analyze production data including scrap, downtime, and efficiency metrics to identify improvement opportunities

  • Enforce all safety procedures and ensure OSHA compliance across the facility

  • Coordinate shift scheduling and staffing needs to meet production demand


Required Qualifications
  • 3&-7 years of experience in food manufacturing (bakery or frozen food production strongly preferred)

  • Experience in high-speed, high-volume production environments

  • Strong leadership and team development skills

  • Familiarity with ERP and/or MES systems for production reporting

  • Knowledge of GMP, SQF, or BRC food safety standards preferred


Preferred Qualifications
  • SQF Practitioner Certification

  • HACCP Certification

  • OSHA 30 Certification

  • Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher)

  • PCQI Certification


Compensation

$65,000 &- $95,000 annually (based on experience)
