Position Summary:
As an industry leader in wholesale, retail, and residential food distribution, Baldor Specialty Foods continues to grow and evolve at a rapid pace across all departments. The Warehouse Helper Runner is responsible for the efficient movement, selecting and loading of food products, accurate scanning, accurate transactions and timely documentation.Repetitive lifting, visual identification, and an understanding of labeling practices are key fundamentals. Individual is required to accurately select and carefully handle product as effectively and efficiently as possible.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Select proper product from designated warehouse area (bins/shelves/racks).
- Build pallets proactively to prevent product damage.
- Handle and package product carefully and in a sanitary manner.
- Pick an average of 120 packages per hour.
- At the Supervisors discretion, stack product for loading with care for potential damage control.
- Shrink wrap finished pallets for final loading.
- Complete pick documentation, productivity worksheets and identify product selected for individual customers.
- Maintain proper housekeeping standards for all work areas.
- Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner at all times.
- Reports any product damage or loss to supervisor.
- Keeps equipment and all areas safe, clean and organizes through proper housekeeping.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior warehousing experience in a food environment preferred.
- Able to read and write legibly; able to follow orders; able to work with little direct supervision.
- Ability to operate rider pallet jacks, hi-lo, reach trucks, hand pumping jacks, forklift, box cutter and RF Scanner.
- Ability to work on your feet for most of the day, repetitive bending, lifting up to 50 lbs. and moving 100 lbs.
- Able to work in cold warehouse environment (36F 38F).
- Must be open to working 5 - 6 days per week (6am - 2:30pm)

Follow and adherence to all Baldor SOPs, SQF, QC, QA and HACCP programs, procedures & policies.

- Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Report to Supervisor/Manager for assignment at start of day at start of shift for work assignments
- Walk assigned zone and level off any Prime facing pick cases
- Ensure Prime location is ready for Fulfillment Selectors these must be leveled off and any cases damaged place in the REC HUB area report to management
- Salvage. Re-box or rework items in the locations
- Report any unsafe conditions to Manager or Supervisor
- While leveling products ensure that proper rotation is not broken check dates and follow FIFO
- Use proper ladder staircase for B level or higher items that are too far to reach, do not use anything else to climb to reach items
- Off load trucks ( internal and external)
- Apply labels as directed to incoming products
- Avoid product damage while loading or off loading, re-stocking and picking
- QC product sorter and cleaner
- Box Making
- Maintain clean work environment in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Keep all assigned equipment free of damages (report damages or accidents immediately)
- Observe warehouse safety rules while operating power industrial truck
- Assist warehouse in special projects set by Manager or Supervisor
- Follow all GMPs and food safety regulations
- Follow all safety regulations
- Adhere to, follow all company polices, SOPs, SQF, HACCP and GMP plans, programs, procedures and policies

Qualifications:
Education: High School degree or equivalent, or can substitute years of experience for education.
