Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position in the Munhall, PA location is $130,166.00 to $168,096.00 per year and this role may be eligible to earn incentive compensation. Duties: Provide comprehensive support in the development and management of technical documentation and product submittals in alignment with signaling and safety system specifications and contractual requirements. Responsible for creating submittals such as track plans, cable plans, route and aspect charts, and technical calculations; designing circuits based on standard parameters including train detection systems, switch machines and signals, application logic, panel and power distribution; checking the accuracy of both hardware and application logic designs to ensure compliance with project specifications and system integrity; completing test procedures and assisting project staff during factory testing; collaborating with crossfunctional teams and external partners to ensure smooth project execution; contributing to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement by preparing lessons learned, best practices, and project insights across teams and departments. May telecommute from a commutable distance. Position requires up to 20% domestic travel. [Hybrid role.]

Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Electronic Engineering, Railway Engineering, or related field and 60 months of experience in the job offered or in a Systems Engineer-related occupation.

Position requires experience in the following:

1. Designing railroad wayside signaling systems, including both hardware and software components.

2. Conducting and analyzing field surveys for rail infrastructure projects.

3. Reviewing project specifications and requirements to initiate preliminary hardware and application software design.

4. Performing railroad-specific calculations, including Warning crossing timers, Signal arrangements, Cable sizing, and Power requirements.

5. Implementing train detection systems, including axle counters and track circuits.

6. Performing design checks on both application software and hardware circuits.
