Production Operations Supervisor – Assembly & Finishing

Compensation: Starting at $80,000 annually (based on experience)

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Production Operations Supervisor to lead and support daily operations across assembly and paint/finishing departments. This role ensures production quality, on-time delivery, and adherence to safety and operational standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who excels in problem-solving, team coordination, and driving continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
Partner with the General Assembly Manager to set daily priorities and ensure customer shipment dates are achieved.
Assign tasks based on team skill levels and ensure all assembly processes and SOPs are consistently followed.
Review and maintain accuracy of work orders, labor reporting, and production documentation.
Provide technical support and assist in resolving assembly or finishing-related issues.
Conduct inspections on completed equipment prior to shipment to verify quality standards.
Participate in employee performance reviews and provide coaching to support development.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and housekeeping standards.
Promote and maintain a safe, professional, and positive work environment.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills & Experience
Associate degree required; Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred.
Minimum 3 years of supervisory or technical lead experience in electro-mechanical assembly or a similar manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using standard hand tools.
Ability to read and interpret basic electrical blueprints and schematics.
Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to troubleshoot issues, prioritize work, and keep teams engaged and productive.
